About Me
Hey, I’m Jessalyn, the heart behind Sanctified-ish.
I created this space as a safe corner for Christians who are still a work in progress - people who love Jesus but are still figuring it all out (me included). Sanctified-ish is a place for honesty, encouragement, and community - for those who don’t have it all together but are still chasing after the One who does.
I didn’t grow up in church. In fact, I was turned off by it for most of my life. It wasn’t until I met my now-husband; the first guy to ever ask, “Do you want to go to church with me?” - that everything began to change. At age 25, after years of broken relationships, drunkenness, and deep wounds from my earthly father, I finally decided to give Jesus a chance.
Life since then hasn’t been perfect, but it’s been redeemed - full of grace, growth, and blessings I never imagined. Going to a healthy church with my husband - one filled with people who genuinely loved the Lord and reflected His character - made all the difference. It showed me what real faith and community could look like.
Today, I’m a wife and a homeschool mom to my two amazing kids - both of whose stories are incredible testimonies of God’s goodness and faithfulness. They remind me daily of His mercy and how He continues to write beauty from the broken parts of our lives.
Sanctified-ish was a vision God placed on my heart - to bring together those who have experienced church hurt but still love Jesus, or are still searching for Him. It’s for the ones who have wrestled with faith, questioned their place, or felt like they didn’t fit the “church mold.”
Now, my heart beats for those who, like me, didn’t need religion - they needed a Savior. And I pray Sanctified-ish helps lead others to experience that same love, healing, and hope that changed everything for me.
